The Sun King




With rage, once more, he blazed! The flowers so new were ash mid-bloom, but the maiden pulled her hood tight, and the rays did not reach her. She would giggle as he seethed, and skipped upon her way. So the Sun did cross the skies in rage once more, resting the night past again in thought to her words.

A final time, the sun came to rest above the maiden. She stopped her song to listen to the sun, and with gentleness he did greet her. "Maiden, oh maiden. I understand, I do. You sing for none but you." The Sun would dim, gentle in its rays, and a plea was given.

"But would you allow I to listen all the same?"
